Heavy music, pressed loud in Atlanta

Tidewire Music started as a merch-table promise between four bands sharing one van: if any of us makes a record worth hearing, we put it out properly. Ten years on, the label presses vinyl, books tours and runs a store for six roster acts — and the rule hasn't changed. If it isn't worth hearing loud, it doesn't come out.

We record live to tape wherever the room allows, master for vinyl first, and pay every band on every pressing. Demos are always open — the contact page tells you exactly what to send.

The roster

Six Bands, One Van

Maynard & The Thundercats

Stadium heavy rock

The headliners. Forty thousand people sang their choruses back at the open air — hear the proof on Ironbound.

Lisnak

Forest doom

Slow, moss-covered riffs from a snowed-in cabin. Start with Heart of the Forest.

Alucard

Blackened rock

Galloping singles and red-seal artwork. The new single is Bird of Hermes.

Nosferatus

Atmospheric heavy

Eleven days live to tape produced Friendly Fire, the label's late-night staple.

National Acrobats

Riff-driven rock

Nine lean songs about refusing to quit — The Disbelief sold out twice.

Duff Black

Late-night rock

Two tracks, endless night drives. Crawlers opens the site player for a reason.
